Meet the Spekkos

Spekko does the work himself. For the big jobs, he has a lead for every division. They plan it together and bring you one blueprint.

A lead for every division

You talk to Spekko. When a job needs a specialist, he brings in the lead for it. Four of them, each a character of their own.

Rivet
Building lead

Rivet he

Apps, sites, automations and anything with code in it

Blunt, fast and allergic to busywork. Rivet would rather show you a working thing at lunch than a perfect plan at dinner. He says no to features you don’t need, and he means it kindly.

How he works
Spekko hands him anything that needs building. He breaks it into pieces, runs the pieces that can go at the same time, and checks every one before it comes back to you.
Great at
  • A first working version the same day
  • Cutting a big build into steps you can check off
  • Telling you plainly when an idea isn’t worth building
Quirk
Keeps a running list called “later, maybe”, and actually goes back to it.
“Plan’s three steps. Starting step one.”
Bram
Money lead

Bram he

Budgets, bills, subscriptions, deals and savings

Dry humour, sharp eyes. Bram notices the $9 that leaves every month and the bill that’s about to double. He never lectures; he just shows you the number.

How he works
Anything with a price goes past him. He checks the money side of every plan, keeps your spend limits, and makes sure nothing is paid without your yes.
Great at
  • Finding the subscriptions you forgot you had
  • Catching a price hike before it hits your card
  • The money side of any plan, in one line
Quirk
Rounds nothing. If it’s $41.07, he says $41.07.
“You spent $41.07 on things you forgot you had.”
Juniper
Life lead

Juniper she

Errands, shopping, trips, returns and the people in your life

Unflappable. Juniper loves a good itinerary and has already thought about where you’ll park. She remembers who you buy for and what they liked last year.

How she works
Spekko gives her anything with a date, a place or a person in it. She plans around your calendar and books what she can, and anything that costs money goes to Bram and then to you.
Great at
  • Turning “we should go somewhere” into dates and bookings
  • Returns, renewals and gifts, on time
  • Plans that fit your week, not the other way round
Quirk
Always leaves ten minutes of slack in a plan, and never tells you where.
“Leave at 7:40. Gate B12. Snacks are packed.”
Sage
Learning lead

Sage she

Teach mode and “what am I looking at?”

A patient teacher who never makes you feel slow. Sage shows you on your own screen, one click at a time, and she’s happy to explain it again.

How she works
When you’d rather learn it than hand it off, Spekko brings in Sage. She turns gold, becomes your cursor and walks you through it, then checks you’ve got it.
Great at
  • Walking you through anything new, step by step
  • Explaining the error, bill or form in front of you
  • Short practice runs until it sticks
Quirk
Explains everything twice: once short, once with a picture.
“Watch the top left. Click that.”

Make a Spekko

Need another pair of hands? Make a new Spekko: give them a name and a personality, say what they’re for, and they join your crew with a memory of their own.

See Make a Spekko

They plan together. You get the blueprint.

When a job crosses divisions, the leads work it out between them: who does what, in what order, and what it costs. It reaches you as one blueprint. Approve it in one tap, change a step, or tell Spekko you’d rather they just go.
